Halloween Fire Safety
We have been learning all about fire safety in school, something that is always very important but particularly at Halloween. The boys and girls have worked very hard at learning how to keep their homes and environments safe and about potential hazards. The class participated in an art competition and the deserving winners were Jack and Zakia!
Sam McGuire visits the school!
In October, Sam McGuire visited the school following the Dublin teams fantastic success! Here are some photos of our class with the players Dean Rock and Eric Lowndes. It was very exciting to see and hold the cup!
Flag and Proclamation
We have been learning all about the upcoming 1916 commemoration celebrations and have been learning about our Irish history in school. An Irish flag and a copy of the Proclamation were delivered to the school by the armed forces in Septemeber. All of the boys and girls created and wore some beautiful art in the Irish colours and Iveta did us proud with her fantastic Irish dancing!
Autumn Art - Leaf Printing
We created beautiful leaf prints using various Autumn leaves. We know that trees which loose their leaves are called deciduous.
Autumn Art - Hedgehogs
We have been learning about animals that hibernate in Autumn and we created our very own little hedgehogs from modelling clay and matchsticks!
