Food Dudes!

In November we undertook the Food Dudes Programme both in our class and as a school! We have been learning all about healthy fruit and vegetables to ensure we make the wisest choices to keep our bodies healthy. Each day we have been receiving a special reward and teacher is very proud of our great effort as we continue to feed the Life Force!

Halloween Sponsored Walk!

On Friday, the 23rd of October we had our annual Halloween Sponsored Walk around Balbriggan. The boys and girls Halloween costumes were outstanding! Special thanks to all the parents for assisting with the costumes and especially with the many wonderful homemade ones. We even had a scary visit from Brendan in the afternoon!

Well done to Caitlin for winning the best homemade costume in the class!

Halloween Fire Safety

We have been learning all about fire safety in school, something that is always very important but particularly at Halloween. The boys and girls have worked very hard at learning how to keep their homes and environments safe and about potential hazards. The class participated in an art competition and the deserving winners were Jack and Zakia!

Sam McGuire visits the school!

In October, Sam McGuire visited the school following the Dublin teams fantastic success! Here are some photos of our class with the players Dean Rock and Eric Lowndes. It was very exciting to see and hold the cup!

Flag and Proclamation

We have been learning all about the upcoming 1916 commemoration celebrations and have been learning about our Irish history in school. An Irish flag and a copy of the Proclamation were delivered to the school by the armed forces in Septemeber. All of the boys and girls created and wore some beautiful art in the Irish colours and Iveta did us proud with her fantastic Irish dancing!
